Driving More Safely In Bad Weather

In this time of year, it is normal for the weather to be slightly more towards the inclement side than fine!  We need to understand how best to adapt our driving to suit the poor weather conditions of winter.  Here is a guide to help you out.

Maintaining our cars goes a long way towards driving more safely; simply checking the tyre pressures, oil and water levels regularly can help your car to run better during bad weather.  Make sure your tyres have the read tread depth (1.6mm at least) as this will help your tyres to grip properly.

Stopping distances are different when it is wet, so be sure to anticipate much earlier when driving on main roads.  Allow more time to come to a halt and anticipate what others might do if you can.
