As a new term begins in September, we have to make a decision about getting our children to and from school – do we drive them ourselves, or do we get them to use public transport?
Much of this decision depends on the facilities available in your area. Some schools have special buses laid on just for them to get children to school. Other, sometimes more remote schools, do not have the facilities to offer transportation for their students. In this case it would be up to the parents to get their children to and from school.
Sometimes, councils allow children to board public buses to get to school – this is handy for those living in a city or town. Children can grow up quickly when they have the responsibility of getting a bus to school on their own, which is an added bonus for the family!
